You’re not crazy. There may be things that are not working in your life, but you’re not crazy. Often, in our attempt to be the person we think we should be, we develop patterns that don’t fulfill us and leave us feeling chronically stressed out or unhappy with life. We believe the lies that tell us we only matter if we do enough, achieve a certain level of success, or look a certain way. Together, let’s uncover these lies so you can discover a life of joy.
Wherever we find ourselves, we got there by doing the best we could with what we had at the time. And once we come to a place where we are ready to change, we need curiosity, compassion, commitment, and a good community.
I see my job as helping you create these in your life. I know therapy is usually simultaneously one of the hardest and most rewarding adventures you can embark on, and I feel honored to be a part of it.
+ Learn more about what I enjoy
Within my own life, I enjoy sharing a table with family and friends, especially when good food is involved. I like cooking and baking, and I’ve watched most seasons of the Great British Baking Show multiple times. For me, nature is very refreshing. Whether hiking, biking, kayaking, or simply sitting on the beach, or chilling in a hammock, I always feel recentered and refueled after spending time outdoors.
I work with adult women (18+) who want to understand the patterns in their lives and start to build a life based on what’s important to them.
Below is a list of the categories and diagnoses I often work with:
Depression
Anxiety
PTSD and CPTSD
Adjustment Disorders
Insomnia
Spiritual Identity
+ Learn more about who I work with
Often, people I work with express concerns about their emotions (having too many or too few), ongoing relational dissatisfaction, or issues in their day-to-day life that seem to keep popping up. Those who come through my door often notice things such as perfectionism, self-criticism, lack of motivation, or a sense of disconnection. For others, they might have had rhythms that were working well for them, but then a transition or event happened and now their old ways don’t seem to be working anymore. And for some, it is hard to put their finger on what exactly is wrong, they just have a nagging sense that everything is not quite as it should be.
If you feel like we would be a good fit, email or call me to set up a free 20 minute phone conversation. This call will help us get a better sense of each other and give me a quick snapshot of what you’re hoping to work on. Research tells us the most important component of therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist, so it is important to me that we find someone with whom you would like to walk on this journey.
